Sleeping Wiener Dogs!

Sleepy Head

This is my new favorite shot of our wiener dog, Boomer.  He loves to bury himself under blankets, rugs, cushions...  Anything!!!  The real reason isn't because he was bred to crawl deep into holes in the ground looking for badgers, it's because he's really smart and doesn't want us to know what he's doing.  Of course in this picture he was truly asleep and I accidentally awoke him, but in the past, here are a few of the crazy things he's done all while undercover and not a human soul having any concept as to the damage he's doing:

Chewed holes in the sofa all the way down to the wood (we got rid of the sofa and never replaced it).

Eaten through electrical cords (ones that were plugged in).

Gnawed holes in our carpet so big one could sprain an ankle in them.

Destroyed I don't know how many plastic doggy kennels because he treats them as chew toys.

Of course he's bitten a few peeps too!!!

We still love him and here's what he looks like when he's on his best behavior.
Can you see him under there? Good dog!!!

If you'd like some really awesome sweets for the holidays, check out Savannah's Candy Kitchen www.savannahcandy.com in Savannah, Georgia.  The Praline cake is the best thing you'll taste in a long time and the chocolate Gophers would be the next best thing to that.

I'm working on one more Leigh Radford Christmas stocking at the moment.  The colors will be different from the first one, so if you'd like to knit one, you'll have some new ideas for different color combinations that look great.  I'll have pictures in my next post.

It's been raining cats and dogs here so I have no lovely pictures of Oregon for today. It's rained a couple of inches today and we are supposed to get a couple more inches tomorrow.  Our football team is in the state championship game today so my kids are going to get a little wet. I guess we're accustomed to it! Go Wolves!!!

Hope you're in a sunny place!
